Frequently asked questions

The questions that arrive most before a first contact. If yours is not here, just write.

Before you begin

Nothing here requires you to already know how to explain what you are feeling.

Do I need to be in a crisis to look for therapy?

No. Most people arrive without a defined crisis, with a discomfort that keeps repeating or a sense that something needs attention. You do not need a diagnosis or a ready explanation to begin.

How do I know whether this work makes sense for me?

You only know after talking. That is why the first contact carries no commitment to continue: it is a conversation to understand what you are looking for and to say, honestly, whether this is what the work can offer.

What happens in the first session?

It is a conversation to get to know each other. You say what is going on, in your own time, and Rebeca begins to understand what makes sense to work on. Nobody needs to arrive with a plan ready.

Do I need to talk about something specific in the first contact?

No. You say what you can, the way you can. What is not said now can come later, when there is enough trust.

Formats and who is seen

The same care in different settings: in the room, on screen and in a group.

Are sessions in person or online?

Both. In person for those nearby who prefer meeting in the room. Online by video call, for anyone whose routine is hard to fit around or who lives in another city, another state, another country.

Do you see children and teenagers?

Yes. Work with children from age 5 includes the people who care for them, because change happens in the relationship. With teenagers, the space is more private, so they can speak without their parents in the room.

How do the women's groups work?

They are meetings with a set theme and date, in a circle with other women. Time with peers often speeds up what individual sessions take longer to reach.

Dates for the next group are not yet set. As soon as Rebeca settles the theme and the calendar, they will appear on the courses page.

Do you see clients who live abroad?

Yes. Online sessions in Portuguese or in English, in your time zone, for anyone who is far from home and does not want to translate what they feel.

Confidentiality and fees

Two things that often weigh on the decision, handled clearly from the start.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is an ethical obligation of the profession, not a courtesy. What is said in a session does not leave it, except in the situations set out in law and in the code of ethics, which exist precisely to protect the person being seen.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are quoted on request, because the fee varies with the format and the frequency. You get that information before committing to anything, with no surprises afterwards.

Does the fee change with the format?

Yes. In person, online and groups have different conditions, and the frequency you agree on also comes into it. That is why the fee is given case by case, before anything is settled.

Confidentiality is not a formality. It is what allows you to speak without weighing every word.

Courses and materials

The digital materials follow the same care as the sessions, in another format.

When will the courses be available?

There is no date yet. The materials are in preparation and depend on the sales platform that will be chosen for the site. Anyone who wants to can write in and be told first.

Shop not open yet. Prices, dates and payment methods will be published on the courses page as soon as they are defined.

Do the materials replace therapy?

No. They are a complement: they help you understand what you feel and organise what comes up between one session and another. Sessions remain the place where the closest work happens.

Still have a question?

If your question is not here, write it the way it came to you. No question is too small to begin with.
