Everyday stories

Small scenes many people live in silence, told as a comic strip. This one is about the mental load: the work of remembering everything, all the time.

The invisible backpack

  1. Cover: a woman carries a huge backpack stuffed with a lunchbox, a calendar, laundry and grocery bags. Title: The invisible backpack. About the weight no one sees, but we all feel.
  2. At 7 a.m., she packs a lunchbox with the phone on her shoulder while her son tugs at her cardigan. Caption: 7 a.m. The lunchbox, the messages, the coffee going cold. And the day hasn't even started.
  3. In an online meeting, with bubbles of chores floating above her head. Caption: At work, her mind is still at home: vaccines, birthdays, groceries, the school meeting.
  4. Lying awake while her partner sleeps and the chores glow on the ceiling. Caption: At night, everyone sleeps. The list doesn't.
  5. In the therapy room, she sets the backpack on the floor and breathes out in relief in front of the therapist. Caption: In therapy, she finally sets the backpack down. And realizes how heavy it was.
  6. She walks lightly through a park as the chores turn into butterflies. Title: You don't have to carry it all by yourself. In-person and online sessions.

The care behind every session

More than treating symptoms, this work is an invitation: to recognize what you feel, to name what hurts, and to find tools for getting through the hard moments.

Feeling welcomed

You arrive as you are. No judgment, no rush, at your own pace. The first step is being able to speak without fearing you will be misunderstood.

Transformation

Understanding what you feel opens room to change. The butterfly in the logo is a reminder that crossing over is possible, and that it happens from the inside.

Clinical care

Serious, well-grounded listening, with behavioral tools, psychoeducation and dream work, in an ethically safe setting.

When to seek support

Some moments ask for a space of your own. Others ask for a careful eye on someone you love.

Grief, loss and divorce

Moving through a loss without losing yourself. A place to work through what has ended and rebuild what comes next.

A safe space

To feel, to understand, to change.

Anxiety and depression

When the day feels heavy and your mind will not switch off. Recognizing the signs is the beginning of taking back control.

Childhood and adolescence

Challenges with attention, behavior and emotions in childhood and adolescence. Sessions start from age 5.

Women and relationships

For women who want to take care of themselves, work through possible trauma and strengthen their bonds.

Women's groups

Meetings to process emotions, so you do not have to move through certain things alone.

Taking care of yourself is also taking care of the people you love.

Portrait of Rebeca Ambrósio.

Rebeca Ambrósio

With a master's degree in Psychology completed in California in 2015, and back in Brazil, Rebeca built a clinical practice that joins the rigor of her international training to the delicacy of someone who knows how to listen. She sees Brazilian and international clients, in person and online, in Portuguese and in English.

The work starts from a simple idea: naming what you feel is already a way of caring for it. From there, with behavioral tools, psychoeducation and attention to dreams, each person finds their own way forward.

A short conversation to understand what you need and whether it makes sense to work together.

  3. We schedule

We choose the best time and format, in person or online, and agree on fees clearly.

Frequently asked questions

Are sessions in person or online?

Both. Online sessions happen by video call, which makes it possible to work with people in another city or another country. In-person sessions give you the room itself, which makes a difference for many people.

Do you see children and teenagers?

Yes. Work with children from age 5 and with teenagers also involves the people who care for them, because change happens inside the relationship. Attention, behavior and emotional issues are addressed with tools suited to each age.

What happens in the first session?

It is a conversation to understand what you are looking for and whether this work makes sense for you. There is no obligation to continue afterwards.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is part of the ethics of clinical work, and it is what sustains the trust you need in order to speak freely.

How much does it cost?

Fees for sessions are given on request, because they vary with the format and the frequency. Courses and digital materials have a fixed price, listed on the courses page.

How do the women's groups work?

Meetings happen in a small group, with dates announced in advance. Full information about format, length and fees will be published soon.

Start with a conversation

You do not need to have it all figured out to take the first step. Just say what you are feeling.
